Admissions Criteria

  • A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • A 3.0 GPA. Applicants with a lower GPA may be admitted on a probationary basis.
  • GRE is not required UNLESS students have earned degrees from institutions issuing non-graded transcripts; official GRE results are required of students in this category.
  • Two years management experience in a nonprofit organization or comparable work or volunteer experience.
  • Applicants for whom English is not a native language must demonstrate English proficiency. English proficiency may be met with an official TOEFL score of 92 (IBT) / 580 (PBT); the IELTS exam with a minimum score of 7.0; PTE score of 62, or an institutional Michigan Proficiency Test result of at least 83%. Students may be accepted with additional requirements if they meet the slightly lower scores mentioned in admissions' page for international students.  For specific questions, contact Janet Shandley in Graduate Admissions.
  • 2013 Application

    APPLY BY MAIL or APPLY ONLINE TODAY for the program that begins Summer Quarter, August Intersession 2013. The August Intersession is a 4-week course starting Tuesday, August 20th and ending Thursday, September 13th, 2013, and will include some Satrudays and Sundays.  Choose the application to the "College of Arts & Sciences".
