Conference guests arriving at Seattle Tacoma International Airport can take the Seattle Light Rail system (northbound) from the airport to get into the city of Seattle proper. Trains depart every ten to fifteen minutes. The fare is $2.50 for adults $5.00 for round trip. You would take the northbound train and get off at the International District / Chinatown stop. We will be running a van shuttle service on Wednesday, August 5, from 11am to 6pm, to take guests from the International District station directly to the University and to check in areas for those staying in on-campus housing. If you would like to use this shuttle service, when you arrive at the International District light rail station, please call Tel: (206) 619-2748 and we will arrange for a van to pick you up. Shuttle vans will be picking people at the corner of Jackson St. and 5th Ave., outside of the northwest end of the station.
Information about the light rail service including a Seattle Tacoma Airport map is available here.
It is about a ten minute walk from the baggage claim area at Seattle Tacoma Airport to the light rail train platform. Alternately, taxi fare directly from the airport to the Seattle University campus runs approximately $50.00.
Also, the main Seattle University webpage has driving directions availavle here for getting from the airport to campus, though they may be a bit too terse to be useful for individuals unfamiliar with the city’s major roads.
