Biography

Meenakshi Rishi is an associate professor in Economics at Seattle University. She has taught previously at the College of Business Administration, Ohio Northern University. Dr. Rishi is a member of the American Economic Association (AEA) and the Committee on the Status of Women in the Economic Profession (CSWEP). She teaches International Political economy, Asian Economic Development, and Macroeconomics. Her scholarly work focuses on capital flight, institutional approaches to development, International finance, and pedagogy. Her publications include articles in the Journal of Development Studies, IMF Survey, Annals of Public and Cooperative Economics, and the Journal of Education for Business. Dr. Rishi has reviewed papers for the Journal of Developing Areas and World Development among others. She is frequently invited by academic institutions in India to present her research and engage in scholarly collaborations.
