The Chinese Program of the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at Seattle University proudly announces that Seattle University has been officially chosen by the Chinese National Office for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (NOCFL) as the Chinese Proficiency Test (or Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi--HSK, an acronym in Chinese) Center in the Pacific Northwest of the United States.

The newly established center will for the first time join the other four centers in the U.S. to host the HSK test on November 1, 2003.

Personnel in the Northwest region of the U.S. and the Southwest region of Canada who are interested in Chinese language learning and looking for opportunities to have their Chinese language knowledge and skills certified by the prestigious official HSK test may enjoy the convenience of receiving the HSK test training and taking the test in the future.
