The Chinese Proficiency Test |

| The Chinese Program of the Department of Modern Languages and Literature at Seattle University will host its fifth annual Chinese Proficiency Test (or known as HSK, an acronym in Chinese for Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi), authorized by the Chinese National Office for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (NOCFL). Residents living in the Northwest region of the U.S. and the Southwest region of Canada who are interested in Chinese language learning and looking for opportunities to have their Chinese language knowledge and skills certified by the Chinese official HSK test may enjoy the convenience of training and taking the HSK test. Please note that the registration deadline is October 6, 2008 and the test will be held at Seattle University at 10:00am, on Saturday, October 18, 2008. Location will be announced later. Make sure to follow the application procedures and arrive at the test site at least 30 minutes before the test begins at 10:00am. HSK preparation materials available for download and print at this site: With transcripts for the listening section, answer keys and a sample answer sheet. First download and save the files and recordings onto your hard drive, then open/print the file(s) by using any program you like, e.g., Windows Explorer, or Microsoft Media Player, etc. Two Sample Tests for the Basic Level: 1) HSK Sample Test for Basic Level (Test 1)
