A MESSAGE TO STUDENTS

In the language course sequence ( i.e., CH115, 125 135, 215, 225, 235, 219, 315), any lower-level courses can not be taken if the student is taking or has taken a higher-level course. No credit will be given upon violation of this policy. Please note: some courses are not offered every semester.


CHIN301 THIRD-YEAR CHINESE - (5 credits)

An introduction to Chinese culture and civilization with emphasis on the impact of the cultural traditions on the Chinese contemporary lifestyles and cross-cultural comparisons. In addition to that, this course will also introduce samples of modern Chinese short stories, a first step to learning modern Chinese literature. Oral and written exercises will emphasize on organized discourse based on the readings.
