The Drama program at Seattle University nurtures the individual ambitions and strengths of our students while delivering a comprehensive education in all areas of theatre including acting, design, directing and history. Faculty mentorship is a signature characteristic of our educational philosophy and our small class sizes enhance and support this mission. Readying our students for entrance directly into the professional world or specialized graduate-school is the ultimate goal of the program in drama.

Theatre classes are offered in acting, design (set, costume, lighting, sound), directing, playwriting, movement (stage combat, dance, improvisation), stage management and theatre history. The quarterly drama productions are a highlight of the drama program and students are involved in all aspects: from acting to stage management, dramaturgy to assistant direction, backstage crew to design.
