February 2nd, February 23rd and March 2nd
Can't make your audition? Youtube your audition video to us at music@seattleu.edu by February 20th!
Audition Requirements for the Interdisciplinary Arts - Music Emphasis (Voice and Piano)
Students must be admitted to Seattle University and have a successful audition, in order to be accepted into the Music Division.
Students will be notified of an audition time after they have submitted their admissions application. You may request an additional audition time within the specified dates if the selected date does not work for you. You must notify us immediately at music@seattleu.edu
Auditions last around ten minutes in length. Please be prepared to be on campus for at least one hour early to get checked in, warmed up as some audition times might be subject to change. Auditions are held between 9 AM and 6 PM.
It is strongly recommended that you audition in person. Audio or video recorded auditions are accepted if you are unable to make one of the live auditions. The video may be a DVD. Recordings should be clearly labeled, both on the CD/DVD and on the card inserted in the cover, with the name of the applicant, degree, instrument, major, recording date, names and instruments of all accompanying musicians and repertoire. CDs are preferred but cassette tapes will be accepted. No videotapes will be accepted. Applicants should make sure that the camera shows full range of movement and use of the instrument. Proper lighting must be used and the sound quality should be very good. All recorded audition tapes must be received no later than February 20, 2013.
You may also youtube your audition video and email it to music@seattleu.edu on or before February 20, 2013
