Fine Arts Professor Harmony Arnold co-produced and designed the costumes, hair, and makeup for the feature film "Waxie Moon in Fallen Jewel." The film has its U.S. premiere in Seattle on October 19 at 9:45 p.m. at Pacific Place Cinema.
“The story bends genders and blends genres,” Arnold said.” “The musical comedy features more than 200 flamboyant local performers as Waxie Moon seeks love in Seattle.”
Arnold, who received her MFA from the University of Oregon, joined the College of Arts and Sciences faculty in 2006. She teaches costume history and design, designs for college stage productions, and is the faculty advisor for the SU Fashion Club. Her designs have been seen at stage productions throughout the United States and locally at Seattle Repertory Theatre, The Village Theatre, The Washington Ensemble Theatre, On the Boards, Book-It Repertory Theatre, and Theater Simple.
The College of Arts and Sciences, the largest college in Seattle University, offers 42 undergraduate majors, 37 minors, and 7 master’s degrees, including an MFA in Arts Leadership.
