Learning Outcomes - Fine Arts

Seattle University undergraduate Fine Arts students should be able to achieve the following:

• Students who graduate with a degree in fine arts will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the fundamental techniques and methods specific to the discipline.
  
• Students who graduate with a degree in fine arts will be able to demonstrate practical abilities and skills from their art form. 
  
• Students who graduate with a degree in fine arts will be able to embody broadened imaginative and creative powers.  Art history students will critically interpret the creative and imaginative.    
  
• Students who graduate with a degree in fine arts will be able to analyze historical context and the great monuments in their art form.
  
• Students who graduate with a degree in fine arts will be able to interpret contemporary theory and forms.       
  
• Students with a degree in fine arts will be able to integrate an understanding of the interdisciplinary nature of art in the contemporary world.
  
• Students who graduate with a degree in fine arts will be able to critically analyze and evaluate examples of art .
