Erica Mills is a speaker, author and trainer who believes that those doing good deserve to get noticed. She believes this so much that she created a company, Claxon, focused exclusively on teaching do-gooders all about the art and science of using words to change the world.
Over the years, Erica has worked with thousands of organizations including Bellingham Food Bank, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Group Health Research Institute, Idaho Nonprofit Center, The Mountaineers, PATH, Powerful Schools, Splash and WithinReach.
Erica is faculty at Seattle University and the University of Washington, and lectures at the University of Chicago. She is the author of Pitchfalls: why bad pitches happen to good people, and the creator of the Claxon Method, a research-based approach to marketing that anyone can learn.
Erica teaches NPLR 542 Strategic Marketing for Nonprofit Organizations.
