Erica Mills teaches strategic marketing for MNPL. She is the Founder and CEO of Claxon, which teaches do-gooders all about the art and science of using words to change the world, and a lecturer at the University of Chicago. Erica Mills holds a Master in Public Administration from the University of Washington.
Erica Mills is interested nonprofit marketing and making sure that nonprofits know how to market with cohesion, clarity, and confidence. Over the years, Erica has worked with thousands of organizations including Bellingham Food Bank, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Group Health Research Institute, Idaho Nonprofit Center, The Mountaineers, PATH, Powerful Schools, Splash and WithinReach. She is the author of
Pitchfalls: Why bad pitches happen to good people, and the creator of the Claxon Method, a research-based approach to marketing that anyone can learn.
Previous to Claxon, Erica was the Founder and Principal of Mills Communication Group, and worked for NPower Seattle, and University of British Columbia.
