Internships

  • Students in their junior and senior years are encouraged to pursue internships as they work towards building their professional experience in the community.

    STUDENT SPOTLIGHT

    Anne Marie Jones ('13) has her debut at Seattle Shakespeare Company in Antony and Cleopatra directed by John Langs.  Performances run through November 18.  http://www.seattleshakespeare.org/2012-2013-season/antony-and-cleopatra/ for more information.

    Alumni Daniel Rector ('12) is the 2012-2013 literary intern at A Contemporary Theatre.

    The vibrant theatre scene in Seattle offers a variety of internship possibilities for students and the theatre program has developed on-going relationships with specific professional theatres.
    For example each spring outstanding junior majors whose focus is performance, are selected to audition for a fall acting internship at Seattle Shakespeare Company, Seattle's premier classical theatre company.
    Students have interned at:

    • Intiman Theatre (production, assistant directing)
    • Seattle Shakespeare Company (acting)
    • A Contemporary Theatre (literary management)
    • Freehold Theatre (acting, directing, scenic design)
    • Theater Schmeater (performance) 
    • The Empty Space (scenic painting) 
    • Balagan Theatre (stage management) 
    • Youth Theatre Northwest (assistant directing)
