Joint Juris Doctor (JD) and MSAL Degree Program

Students must be admitted to both degree programs. The length of time required to complete the joint degree program is 3 ½ years for full-time students and longer for part-time students. Students must be admitted to the School of Law before applying to the joint degree program. Law students may apply for admission to the MSAL degree program in the spring of their first year.

Crossover Courses (2007 - 2008 Bulletin of Information)

The following courses can be used to satisfy elective credits toward the JD and MSAL. Not all courses are offered each quarter, semester, or year, and some courses may require particular sequencing or have prerequisites.

How to apply:
Submit the following by May 20th, 2007 for Summer or Fall 2007 admission:

*Transcripts and LSAT scores may be requested from the School of Law Registrar; copies will be sent directly to Graduate Admissions
**Two letters of recommendation may be requested from the School of Law Registrar with a release from the authors; copies will be sent directly to Graduate Admissions

Please Note:
The American Bar Association, requires that the JD degree be completed within a maximum of 84 months.

One quarter credit is the equivalent of .67 semester credits. A 3 quarter credit crossover business course could, for example, be used to satisfy 2 semester credits for the JD degree.

One semester credit is the equivalent of 1.5 quarter credits. A 4 semester credit crossover law course could, for example, be used to satisfy 6 quarter credits for the Masters of Sports Administration and Leadership.
