Fellowships and Scholarships

Criminal Justice Professional Fellowship

A limited number of "Criminal Justice Professional Fellowships" are available for Fall 2007 applicants to the SU Master's in Criminal Justice program who are currently employed in the criminal justice field. The fellowships are designated for criminal justice professionals for whom the full tuition is cost prohibitive. Each fellowship provides $7,000.00 in tuition reduction over the course of the program for qualified applicants to the MACJ program who currently work in the criminal justice field.

Applicants for admission to the MACJ program who wish to be considered for one of the CJ professional fellowships, can apply online or by mail and indicate in the application current employment in the criminal justice field.

Eugene Corr Scholarship

The "Eugene Corr Schlolarship," named in honor of Eugene Corr, co-founder of the Seattle University Criminal Justice Department and former Assistant Police Chief of Seattle Police Department, is awarded annually to a MACJ student who is a minority and/or woman employed and/or has previous experience in law enforcement and plans to pursue a career in law enforcement after completing the MACJ degree. The Corr schlolarship award is a one-time award of $2,000.00.

The scholarship is awarded to the incoming MACJ candidate who most closely meets the scholarship criteria and embodies the legacy of the late Eugene Corr who fought for ethics in criminal justice and the rights of women and minorities in law enforcement.
