Research interest: Ethnography and ethnohistory in Native Hawaii and Tahiti
Dr. Strober is a medical anthropologist who does research on culture and healing in Native Hawaii and women's ethnohistory in ancient Tahiti and Hawaii. She teaches courses on culture and healing as well as ethnographic methods. Additionally, she is interested in power-sharing in ethnographic research methods (such as participatory action research, indigenous research methods).
