Seattle University undergraduate Asian Studies students should develop:

  • Critical understanding of Asia in its geographic, political and diasporic, historical and cultural contexts.
  • Critical understanding of the construction of Asia as a multi-disciplinary field of inquiry.
  • Understanding of the global, transnational and multicultural contexts of Asia.
  • Ability to conduct in-depth comparisons between regions of Asia.
  • Ability to carry out in-depth research on a specific topic.
  • Language competency : Understanding, Speaking, Reading and Writing.
