  • “Is North Korea Evil?” on May 12

    History Professor Hazel Hahn, Pigott McCone Endowed Chair in Humanities, announced that Professor Hyung Gu Lynn will be presenting “Is North Korea Evil? Exploring Source of Information on Contemporary North Korea” on May 12.  Lynn, AECL/KEPCO Chair in Korean Research at the Institute of Asian Research, University of British Columbia, focuses his research on Korea and Japan and has taught at universities there and in England. His most recent book is Bipolar Orders: The Two Koreas Since 1989 (London: Zed Books, 2007).He is currently the editor of Pacific Affairs, an independent, interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal that has been published continuously since 1928.  

    Lynn’s presentation, which is free and open to the public, takes place at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, in Bannan 102.
