  • A&S Faculty Present at Regional Conference

    Four Seattle University faculty gave papers at the Western Regional Meeting of the Conference on Christianity and Literature at George Fox University near Portland. Peter Ely, S.J., associate professor of theology and religious studies, spoke on “The Adamic Myth and Culture.” David Leigh, S.J., professor English, presented “Theodicy, Violence, and Hope in Recent Novels by Cormac McCarthy.” Mary-Antoinette Smith, associate professor of English, spoke on “Bronte’s Inferno in Jane Eyre.” Carolyn Weber, associate professor of English, presented a non-fiction essay on “Knowing God by Degrees.”
