At the January Northwest University Invitational debate tournament, the team of Robby Noble (left) and Ali Al-Sadi (right) took first place by a vote of both the audience and the judging panel. Noble was the fifth best speaker at the tournament. Noble is a senior majoring in political science and economics. Al-Sadi is a sophomore political science and philosophy major.
The debate team will travel to four more tournaments this quarter and host a tournament on campus March 2 - 3. Teams from California, Canada, Montana, New York, Colorado, Oregon, and Washington will compete. All rounds are open to the public.
The College of Arts and Sciences, the largest college in Seattle University, offers 42 undergraduate majors, 37 minors, and 7 master's degrees.
