Em Olson is the Operations Manager for the Fine Arts Department and oversees the management of the Lee Center for the Arts, and the Hedreen, Vachon, and Kinsey galleries. Originally from Denver, Colorado, she graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelors of Fine Art degree in Photography and a minor in Art History. Prior to joining the staff at Seattle University, Em worked at: Photographic Center Northwest where she taught beginning photography courses and served as the center’s administrative assistant, Cornish College of the Arts where she worked in the Registrar’s Office and as the Department Coordinator for the Fine Art Department, and the University of Washington where she served as the Administrative Manager for the Student Affairs office at the School of Medicine and supervised the Arts in Medicine program. When not in the office, Em enjoys spending time with her husband and young son, reading fiction, rollerblading, and making art in her studio.
