This committee will be responsible for planning two events with Dean Powers --- one meet-and-greet event during fall quarter, and the yearly Conversation with the Dean during winter or spring quarter.
This committee is responsible for the planning and carrying out of the prized Teacher/Advisor/Staff of the Year Awards held during the Spring Quarter.
This committee is responsible for planning, collecting and judging the scholastic submissions in the areas of Humanities, Social Sciences and the Arts. Submissions will be taken during the Spring quarter, but year round student awareness of this competition is needed.
This committee will be responsible for a newsletter that will be electronically distributed to all of the students in the College of Arts and Sciences.
This committee will look for ways the SEC representatives and students in the College of Arts and Sciences can give back to the community. The committee is hoping to sponsor at least one community service event per quarter.
This year the Executive Board has decided to add a new committee dedicated to exploring new avenues to voice student concerns and solve problems, with the intent of improving student academics, as well as the college experience.

The College of Arts and Sciences is the oldest undergraduate and graduate college affiliated with Seattle University, the Northwest's largest independent university.
