Todd Stordahl, B.S., Behavioral Science, City University; M.A. Athletic Administration, Ohio University, is currently the Commissioner of the Washington Officials Association (WOA). I have been the commissioner since 2002, which was the first year the WOA was a truly independent non-profit association. Prior to 2002, the director of the WOA was also the Executive Director of the WIAA. The change in structure has been extremely positive for the officials. I began my career in interscholastic activities in 1999 as the WIAA production coordinator, before becoming the officials’ coordinator in 2000. I coached high school and middle school basketball for ten years prior to becoming the WOA Commissioner and have continued coaching basketball and baseball at the youth level since taking over as WOA commissioner. In my free time I enjoy working as a basketball official and watching my son participate in youth sports. In the CSSP I will serve as a co-teacher for the MSAL graduate course SADL 501 Contemporary Issues in Sport.
