Biography

Felipe completed his Ph.D. in Geography from University California Santa Barbara. He holds a M.A. in Environmental Economics and a B.A. in Economics, both from Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia.

Before his doctoral studies, Felipe worked for five years with the government of Colombia designing and implementing environmental policies. His current research focuses on community-based water management and adaptation to climate change in Latin America. His teaching interests include Policy Analysis, World and Latin American Geography, Human-Environment Relations, and Methods (Geographic Information Systems and Statistics).
