Tonja Brown has a Master’s degree in Student Development Administration from Seattle University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Washington. Tonja served as an Educational Planner at Edmonds Community College prior to her transition to the College of Arts and Sciences at Seattle University. Previously, she served as the Leadership Development Fellow in the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University, and also has experience working as a study abroad advisor and as a bank teller.
In her role as Academic Advisor in the College of Arts and Science, Tonja advises students in the departments of Communication, Criminal Justice and Liberal Studies. She also provides pre-professional advising to students interested in pre-education and pre-health, and provides problem-solving services to students who are struggling academically or are on probation.
When not at Seattle University, Tonja can often be found jogging her dog around Green Lake, exploring Seattle with her husband, Matt, or sipping coffee at her favorite coffee shop, Makeda Coffee in Greenwood.

The College of Arts and Sciences is the oldest undergraduate and graduate college affiliated with Seattle University, the Northwest's largest independent university.
