Biography

Captain Tag Gleason has served with the Seattle Police Department for 33 years in a variety of assignments.  Currently, Tag serves in the Department’s Office of Professional Accountability. His previous assignments include supervising the Violent Crimes Section, Training Section, West Precinct, and Special Deployment Section.  He served in the US Army, Army Security Agency, as a Russian linguist.  Tag is a graduate of the Seattle University School of Law and an active member of the Washington State Bar Association.  He has Bachelors degrees in Criminal Justice and Accounting and a Masters degree in Public Administration.   He has lectured nationally on the benefits of police-community partnerships for community development and is a proponent of the community policing/problem solving approach to policing.  He enjoys his family, traveling, reading, and playing baseball.
