Dr. Kate Elias has a PhD in American History from Rutgers University and served as the Director of Academic Advising and Learning Support Services at Linfield College prior to her transition to Seattle University. She has previously served as an advisor at Oregon State and Rutgers, and also has experience working as an admissions counselor. As Assistant Dean for Student Academic Services at SU, Kate oversees academic advising services in the College of Arts and Sciences, advises Psychology students, works with faculty and professional advisors, and provides problem-solving services to students who are struggling academically. Out of the office you might run into her at Connolly, working on her pea patch at the organic garden, hiking in the Cascades, or out for dinner on the Hill.

The College of Arts and Sciences is the oldest undergraduate and graduate college affiliated with Seattle University, the Northwest's largest independent university.
