Biography

Trileigh Tucker is Associate Professor of Environmental Studies at Seattle University. She holds a Ph.D. in geology from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Her interdisciplinary teaching and research interests include science and religion; natural history; environmental justice; sustainability; children and nature; and contemplative dimensions of science. She has served as Director of the Environmental Studies program and is a member of the Steering Committee of the Puget Sound-area Curriculum for the Bioregion. Dr. Tucker is currently working on a book called Natural Presence: Natural History, Contemplative Practice, and a New Vision for Science Education.
