Fragments Contest Submissions Guidelines 

Looking For: Visual art submissions for the cover of Fragments

Eligibility: All students, faculty, staff and alumni are eligible to submit artwork for consideration.  

Submission Guidlines: All cover contest submissions will be expected to fit on an 8” by 8” page.  Must have a resolution of at least 300 pixels per inch.  

Maximum number of submissions:  Artists may submit up to three covers for consideration

Required Theme: This year’s edition of Fragments has the theme Labyrinth.  This is required for cover contest submissions.    

Prize:  The creator of the winning piece will receive a $50 gift card to either Blick or Elliot Bay, by their choice.

Fragments General Submissions Guidelines 

 

Looking For: Literature or visual art submissions

Eligibility: All students, faculty, staff and alumni are eligible to submit artwork for consideration.  

Literature Submissions:  Fragments accepts all forms of literary submissions, including Poetry, Short Stories, Non-Fiction, and Excerpts from larger works.  Due to limited space, all submissions must be 1,500 words or less

Visual Submissions:  Fragments accepts visual arts submissions, including photography, painting, drawing, digital, and comic submissions.  May be in color or black and white.  All visual arts submissions will be expected to fit on an 8” by 8” page.  Must have a resolution of at least 300 pixels per inch.  

Maximum number of submissions:  Artists may submit up to three works of literature and three works of art.  

Optional Theme: This year’s edition of Fragments has the theme labyrinth.  It is not required, and will not improve the chances of being chosen.  Draw on it for inspiration.
