Rowing Alumni Chapter
Mission: The Seattle University Rowing Foundation (SURF) was formed to unite the alumni, friends, and current members of Seattle University Crew in order to provide a community, a network, and an institutional memory for the participants, alumni, and friends of the sport at Seattle University. Additionally, its charge is to protect, strengthen, and support the Rowing program and ensure its successful continuation.
Goals: The Rowing Foundation's goal is to facilitate the expansion of the program into, and then ensure the continuation of, a nationally-ranked rowing program known for its dedication to scholar-athlete and staff development, academic excellence, integrity and sportsmanlike conduct, humanitarian service, and consistent athletic prowess within the highest competitive arenas. In as much the Rowing Foundation will provide financial, equipment, logistical and other resource support to the program, as well as rich social and networking experiences to the program's alumni and friends.
