Senior Vice President, Account Management

Steven Grimmer was appointed Senior Vice President of Account Management in 2012. He leads the team of directors responsible for the customers in our Account Management program across the globe. His dedication to excellence has made him a proven leader at Expeditors. Steve’s vision and strategy for Account Management has made it one of the fastest growing services at Expeditors globally.
A native of New Jersey, Steve began his career in international transportation at Expeditors’ Newark office as a Sales Executive in 1983, and was quickly promoted to the role of Operations Manager. In 2000, he relocated to the Baltimore office assuming the role of District Manager.
In the four years he spent as District Manager, Steve oversaw all aspects of sales, business development and customer retention. His district consistently exceeded productivity goals; and focused on sustaining growth and supporting the development of people and services. His performance in this role coupled with his commitment to Expeditors was the key to being selected to lead the global Account Management program in Seattle.
Steve graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1990. In 2007 he completed the Executive Leadership Program at Seattle University. He is a member of both the Strategic Account Management Association and Council for Logistics Management. He travels extensively to Expeditors’ international offices, promoting the customer service vision synonymous with Account Management at Expeditors.
In Steve’s current role of Senior Vice President of Account Management, he is committed to ensuring that our account management programs are customized to the specific needs of each customer. He excels at providing a clear vision for a program that differentiates Expeditors’ Account Management from similar offerings in the global logistics marketplace.
A tenured employee at Expeditors, 2014 marks his 20th year with the company.
