Stephanie Blue joined the GLFC to gain experience flexing her leadership muscles and to identify her strengths and weaknesses as a leader. Stephanie currently works at The Seattle Times as a Human Resources Manager. Her primary responsibilities include full-cycle recruiting and working with managers to identify performance improvement opportunities. Stephanie holds a B.S in Human and Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University.

Brook Buchanan joined the GLFC cohort to build his own brand of leadership and make a significant contribution to the Seattle community. Brook is currently the Founder and Principal Consultant for Collistic, an independent consulting practice focused on technology adoption. He holds a B.S. in Psychology and B.A. in Economics from Pacific Lutheran University.

Carly Cannell joined the GLFC to gain exposure to leadership and leaders in the Seattle community and to explore her own leadership styles and abilities through working with and learning from her peers. Carly currently works at the Center for Service and Community Engagement at Seattle University, focusing on outreach, coordination and communication for the Seattle University Youth Initiative. Carly holds a B.A. in International Studies from the Jackson School at UW. She also enjoys volunteering at Childhaven. She is a co-lead for the Fundraising team and a member of the Event Planning team for this course.

Mike Chen joined the GLFC to further his development of his leadership skills and abilities. He wants to some day get into a management role and Mike feels that this will give him the opportunity to become a great leadre. He currently works at Boeing as a lead Business and Planning Analyst. Mike holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Washington.

Theresia Vankuik Churchill joined the GLFC program to learn more about leadership development, especially as it applies to women and minorities. Also, to experience how business can impact society through leadership. Working with the cohort to host the Red Winged Leadership Award provided an opportunity to stretch her communication skillks and apply her fundraising experience. She is an Accountant for CBRE at Group Health, and holds a B.A. in History from the University of Washington.

Andy Compton joined the Graduate Leader Formation Certificate program in order to further explore the process of leadership and in hopes of better understanding how he is best able to affect change in others. As a full time student, Andy has enjoyed making the most of his academic experience and will be graduating in June, 2011. Andy grew up in Anchorage, Alaska and spent four amazing years attending George Washington University in Washington, DC where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Ancient Eastern Mediteranean History.

Chrissy Egan joined the GLFC to work among peers in a leadership position and to have a role in building an award that empowers others within the Seattle community. She currently works as a Financial analyst at IBM. Chrissy plays a unique and integral role in driving key business decisions, supporting operations, and influencing business results. Chrissy graduated with an undergraduate degree from University-Wisconsin La Crosse in International Business, Economics, and Spanish.

Sarah D. Fischer joined the GLFC to discover and experience leadership acumen with hopes to help demonstrate that ‘business is good, and doing good is business’ through the Red Winged Leadership Award. Sarah is a full-time student while continuing to do freelance writing and photography. She holds a B.A. in Journalism from Seattle University.

PJ Graziani feels privileged to be a part of this special group. He joined the GLFC to develop a leadership style that best fits his personality and skill set, in addition to having the opportunity to create great friendships and honor well-deserved leaders in the Puget Sound Area. PJ currently works as an Environmental Engineer for a small environmental consulting firm in Seattle. He holds a B.S. degree in Environmental Resource Management from the Pennsylvania State University.

Joe Hampton saw the GLFC as an excellent opportunity to further explore the art of leadership and to develop the skills necessary to be an effective leader of tomorrow. He has a passion for social justice and his goal as a leader is to empower others to make a difference in the world. Joe is a native of Seattle and currently works as a Project Manager for the City of Seattle’s Capital Development & Construction Management Division. Joe earned a B.A. in Business Administration from Seattle University and will complete the MBA program in June 2011.

John Kuo knew that to be a successful leader in life, he has to be around successful leaders or people who aspire to be one. He joined the GLFC program to be in the right environment to learn leadership and push himself out of his comfort zone. John currently works at The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center as a Information Security Engineer where he is in charge of protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company information assets. John holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Oregon.

Daniel Mayfield joined the GLFC as a way to close out his graduate experience with a great leadership opportunity. He currently works as a technical lead for Boeing Defense Systems. This class was This class directly translated to the work he does for Boeing, which includes having to interface with all levels of management and customers. Daniel holds two engineering degrees from Eastern Washington University and in June will hold a MBA from Seattle University.

Dejan Mitkovski joined the GLFC for the opportunity to enhance his knowledge of leadership through the experiential learning process. His desire is to learn about the different levels and methods of leadership to understand how an individual can become a catalyst for change for a better future. Dejan currently works at Smilebox, Inc. and directs the Business Analytics and Digital Marketing efforts of the organization. His Bachelor’s degree is in Biochemistry from Wayne State University.

Ryan Pagoaga has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah and is currently a Structural Design Engineer for Boeing Commercial Airplanes. He has spent the last four years in development for the 747-8 program and is moving over to the KC-767 Tanker this April. Ryan started the MBA program at Seattle University in summer of 2009. He saw an amazing opportunity to strengthen his leadership and business abilities by joining the GLFC program last summer. He hopes that among others, his dedication and enthusiasm will add value to the leadership cohort. Thus far his experiences in the GLFC have been both memorable and rewarding.

She currently works at The Boeing Company as a Communications Specialist and is interested in sustainable business, emotional intelligence and change management. Joanna holds a B.A in Business Administration and a B.A. in Communications from the University of Washington.

Jackie Stenberg joined the GLFC with the hope of learning more about leadership through hands on, real-life opportunities. Jackie currently works at The Boeing Company in Business Development, with a focus on defense programs including opportunities in missiles and unmanned airborne systems. Jackie earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Oregon State University, and currently volunteers with the YMCA as a youth basketball coach and with the UW Alpha Phi sorority as an adviser.

Jessica Stevenson joined the GLFC in order to gain a new perspective on leadership and expose herself to a challenge she had never faced. Jessica currently works as a Lean Consultant at The Boeing Company. Her primary responsibilities include leading process improvement efforts in an office environment as well as coaching senior leaders on developing lean strategy and managing in a lean environment. Jessica holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Louisiana State University.

Amy Vithayathil joined the GLFC to develop an understanding of leadership and to learn about her own leadership strengths and areas for improvement in an experiential setting. Amy currently works at Premera Blue Cross as a Senior Internal Consultant for the Pharmacy Department. She is responsible for the evaluation of enterprise wide needs to develop new or modified operating methods and systems, analyzing and developing business requirements and recommending cost effective solutions. Amy holds a B.S. in Geology with a Minor in Physics from Harvey Mudd College.

Rachelle Willie joined the GLFC to gain leadership experience through full emersion. Rachelle currently works at Nordstrom as the International Payments Assistant Manager. Her primary responsibilities include supporting her team with the international accounts payable process, along with planning, organizing, and executing innovative projects and work processes. Rachelle holds a B.S. in Science, Technology, and Globalization from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Gregory Yandl is a recently returned organizational development Peace Corps Volunteer, and a graduate from Gonzaga University. He holds a B.A. in Psychology, a minor in Chemistry, and a Concentration in Entrepreneurial Leadership and is currently pursuing a Masters in International Business. Greg works at Seattle Children’s Research Institute as a Sponsored Projects Officer negotiating and administering grants and contracts. In explaining why he joined the GLFC, Greg noted that there are few needs in the modern world more pressing than the dearth of authentic leadership, and he wants to be a part of the solution to that problem.
