Professional and Continuing Education at Albers

For those students or professionals who want to continue their education or prepare to continue it, Albers offers the following Professional and Continuing Education classes:

GMAT Prep Course: The Albers School offers a GMAT Prep Class which provides proven and successful strategies for increasing your score on all three sections. 

Business Calculus: Completing this Business Calculus course satisfies the math proficiency requirement for graduation from the MBA, MIB, MPAC, or MSF programs at Seattle University. This Business Calculus class is equivalent to 5 credits of undergraduate calculus and is a rigorous class.

Business Communications: Upon successful completion of this class, you will be familiar with business language and able to use business style guides with confidence. Along the way, you will learn answers to many of those English grammar questions that may have caused you to stumble in a professional context.

Leadership Development: The Center for Leadership Formation (CLF) provides innovative, world-class executive education to mid- to senior-level professionals with an emphasis on leadership, business expertise, and a commitment to social responsibility.

  • Executive Leadership Program: The Executive Leadership Program (ELP) is a highly-respected, graduate-level certificate program designed to provide an intensive exploration of leadership and its personal meaning in each participant’s life.
  • Return on Leadership: Leading with Dignity: This intensive, residential program is for mid- to senior-level managers who have been tapped for advancement and growth. The course is offered in a retreat format and emphasizes skills in leading and influencing others.


Certified Financial Analyst: The CFA Society of Seattle and Albers jointly offer preparation courses for Level I CFA candidates.

Family Business Roundtables: Seattle University's Family Business Institute, which includes closely-held businesses as well, holds various Roundtables which are a venue for family/closely-held business current (Executive) and future (Next Generation) leaders to meet with their respective peer groups on a regular basis to discuss strategic and tactical issues facing their companies.

Post-Baccalaureate Certificates: The Albers School of Business and Economics offers an undergraduate certificate in business for students with a bachelor’s degree in a non-business area and a certificate in accounting for students who already have a bachelor’s degree in business.


Post-Graduate Certificates: The Albers School of Business and Economics offers four post-graduate certificates designed to allow business graduates with master's degrees from AACSB International accredited programs the opportunity to develop expertise in a specified area of concentration beyond their field of study.
