    Admission Requirements

    Applicants must have:

    1. A minimum of an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution
    2. A minimum of 2 years of full time work experience
    3. A competitive GMAT score

    Course Requirements

    I. Prerequisites

    • ACCT 5030: Financial Accounting (or equivalent)
    • FINC 5000: Managerial Finance (or equivalent)

    Individual courses below may have additional prerequisites. See the Prerequisites table for details.

    Note: For students enrolled in the Professional MBA program, FINC 5050 is considered a prerequisite for this certificate. The remaining required courses and both electives from the list below are needed to complete the certificate.

    FINC 5105: Valuation of Derivatives 3
    FINC 5115: Corporate Investment Decisions 3

    III. Electives

    Choose one of the following elective courses: (3 credits) Credits
    FINC 5310: Financial Risk Management* 3

    Courses marked with * may be waived with successful completion of prior coursework.

    Required for certificate: 15 - 33 credits

    • Once you are accepted, you may start any term (Fall, Winter, Spring, or Summer).
    • After being accepted, you must attend an advising orientation.

    • Cost is $815 per credit plus fees. (Certificate requirement: 15 credits.)
