Graduate Business Certificates

Certificate programs will start summer 2013.

The graduate certificates in business are designed to allow working professionals to develop expertise and acquire a credential beyond their undergraduate degree without having to complete a full graduate degree program. The certificate program allows students to:

  • Specialize in new areas of business
  • Update older information or degree
  • Acquire added skills and credentials to increase their career opportunities

The program allows a student, with the guidance of a graduate programs coordinator, to choose a customized program of business classes from the graduate courses offered through the Albers School of Business and Economics. Certificates are awarded in the following areas of specialization:

Course work for a certificate may be applied to the Professional MBA, Master of Professional Accounting (MPAC), or Master of Science in Finance (MSF) program, if a student applies for and is accepted into one of those degree programs prior to completion of the certificate program. Seattle University graduate students may also be eligible for the certificate programs.

Upon completion of the requirements of the program (see individual areas of study for requirements), students will have posted to their transcripts the entry, "Certificate of (insert discipline)" and be issued a certificate listing the discipline studied.
