Personal Bio
Katie joined the Albers faculty in 2011. She teaches Principles of Microeconomics and Public Finance. Before coming to Albers, she was an Economist at the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Economic Research Service and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Georgetown Public Policy Institute. Her research interests are in means-tested public programs and low-income consumer finance. A recent article on the Earned Income Tax Credit, co-authored with Jeffrey P. Thompson, won the 2010 Musgrave Prize for the best paper published in the National Tax Journal.
