Personal Bio
Motofusa Murayama was a Visiting Distinguished Professor of Albers School of Business & Economics and Professor Emeritus Chiba National University in Japan. He was also a government & UN-appointed scholar at multiple universities in Asia, the U.S.A, and Europe. He is an internationally recognized scholar and in l986 was selected for a Best Paper Award in international management In 1994 Murayama was chosen Fellow, and in 2008 he was honored with the Global Leadership Award by Pan Pacific Business Association. He is the author of more than 50 books and has published numerous papers. His books have received the Japanese National Library Award (three times) and the Academic-Cultural Award from the authority of critics. Has received a U.N. Asian Research Fund Awards several times from the Science Academy of Japan and in l993 received the Academic Achievement Award from the Japanese Academy of Comparative Culture. He is president of the Academy of International Management, Culture, and Transdisciplinary Studies and served as international director (Asian Region) of Western Academy of Management (WAM) in the U.S.A. He was director of the Academy of Multinational Enterprises, director of the Academy of Management Philosophy, etc., and an advisor and creator of cultural and economic revitalization programs for urban and countryside renewal and development (including prefectural and national projects). In addition, he was a former advisor to the Ministry of Transportation and was chairman of the Committee for the Peaceful Resolution of the Narita Airport Conflict. He enjoys “Kabuk”i Song (a Japanese classic song, such as Nagauta & Ktohbushi) and performs at Kabukiza, etc.
