Personal Bio
Sarah Bee's teaching interests include accounting systems, internal controls, and managerial accounting. She has worked at Boeing, Weyerhaeuser, and Alaska Airlines in the areas of accounting and systems. Her recent corporate experience has centered around Sarbanes Oxley compliance. Her research interests are pedagogical and she has published articles in the Journal of Forensic Accounting, the Business Valuation Review, The Journal of College Teaching and Learning, and The CPA Journal. She served as the co-editor of Compendium of Classroom Cases, a publication of the American Accounting Association Information Systems Section (AAA-IS). Professor Bee has received the Small Business Administration Distinguished Service Award, the Beta Alpha Psi Outstanding Faculty Advisor award, and the AAA-IS Section Outstanding Service Award. She is the faculty athletic representative for Seattle University, serving as a faculty advocate for over 250 student-athletes. In her spare time she enjoys cross country skiing and cruises to exotic locales.
