Personal Bio

Susan Weihrich was appointed associate dean for Academic Affairs in 2008. Prior to that she served as chair of the Department of Accounting. She teaches primarily in the area of taxation. She is a frequently invited speaker in the areas of Federal tax policy and annual tax updates. Her research has been published in Tax Adviser, Journal of Accounting Education, Journal of Accounting, Auditing, and Finance, Taxation for Accountants, Issues in Accounting Taxation, and Advances in Taxation. She has many years of experience in tax compliance and has assisted in the Seattle University's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program for nearly 20 years. She has received numerous teaching awards and also was the first recipient of the Seattle University "Spirit of Community Award." In her free time, she enjoys travelling with her husband and experimenting in art classes.
