Albers is accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. As of July 2014, less than five percent of the world’s business schools and less than one third of U.S. business schools have achieved business accreditation from AACSB.
Jessica Christie Ludescher is an Associate Professor in the Albers School of Business and Economics at Seattle University, where she holds a joint appointment in Management and Philosophy. She has a PhD and an MA in Philosophy from the University of California, Riverside and a BA from Bryn Mawr College. Business Ethics is her primary teaching responsibility at SU.
Ludescher's research has focused on corporate social responsibility (CSR), theory of the firm, political economy, sustainability, globalization, and spirituality in business. Her papers have been published in The Edward Elgar Handbook of Research on Corporate Citizenship, The Harvard International Review, Business and Society Review, The Independent Review, Environmental Ethics, and The Journal of Catholic Social Thought. She has also prepared research for the European Commission’s CORE project on "The Potential of CSR to Contribute to the Implementation and Integration of EU Strategies."
