Bridge MBA
David Carrithers, Bridge MBA Program Director
1 Year MBA for Non-Business Majors
The Albers Bridge MBA is a 12 month MBA program designed to provide you, a graduate of a non-business undergraduate program, the business knowledge to help you jumpstart your career. It will provide you with broad-based critical thinking skills and business knowledge that employers are seeking in new employees. If you want to expand your career options, the Bridge MBA Program is for you.
The Bridge MBA Program
You will learn essential business skills and how to apply them to real life situations through projects and other directed activities. As with all Albers programs, the Bridge MBA Program is guided by the Jesuit tradition of academic excellence, education for justice, and service to others. You will participate in a service learning project, and the Jesuit emphasis on a holistic education is experienced throughout the program.
Small class sizes will enhance your ability to interact with your classmates and professors to get the most out of the learning experience. Classes are held during the day, Monday through Thursday.
The Bridge MBA Program begins with a one-week intensive orientation, introducing teamwork exercises, a foundations of management simulation, and a case study module. Required knowledge of statistics, spreadsheet skills, and financial accounting can be fulfilled by taking summer classes or completing self-study modules before the start of the program.
The program's unique curriculum design is based on four quarterly themes: Language of Business, Analytical Process, Decision-Making, and Integration. Course work and required co-curricular activities reinforce each of the themes. The activities include consulting projects, an internship, and competing in the Harriet Stephenson Business Plan competition. In addition, you will be expected to take part in the Albers Mentor Program, attend Albers Executive Speaker Series events, and participate in Albers Placement Center workshops.
Bridge MBA Program Duration
The Bridge MBA Program is a 1 year program, full-time, that requires the completion of 48 credits over four quarters, starting in the fall and ending summer quarter.
