Raiser's Edge Skills for Administrative Assistants
Below is a list of skill areas that all Administrative Assistants who use Raiser's Edge should be familiar with. These are in addition to the items listed on the Basic Skills page. Places to check before contacting a constituent
Reading a Constituent's Gift tab:
- Knowing what the different gift types are
- Knowing what soft credits, hard credits and matching gifts are
Reading Address records:
- Identifying the preferred address
- Determining if an address is mailable
- Identifying seasonal addresses
Reading Relationship records:
- Identifying current prospect manager/interested staff assignments
- Finding current and former employment information
- Finding alumni information and student activity while enrolled at SU
Reading Action Records:
- Understanding what personalized contact has already been made
Entering Contact Reports:
- Knowing the difference between a general contact and a contact report contact
Reading the Prospect Tab:
- General, Rating and Chronology sections
- Reading Proposal records
Understanding the importance of Appeal tracking
