New and Prospective Users

This page contains information for new and prospective users of Seattle University's alumni and donor database. Prospective users should contact the Systems Support manager at REHelp@seattleu.edu to see if database access is appropriate. Access is typically limited to University Advancement staff, but exceptions may be made. If you are granted access, you must complete the FERPA training, sign a confidentiality agreement and attend a new user training:

Take the FERPA Training

All Seattle University employees are required to take the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) training once every two years. Also, this training is required before access to alumni and donor data is granted. You may satisfy your FERPA requirement by taking the online training and quiz.

Sign the Confidentiality Form

Our alumni and donor database contains sensitive data that must only be used for official university business. Download the confidentiality agreement and fax a signed copy to (206) 296-6136 attention Advancement Services Systems Support Manager.

Attend a New User training

New user trainings are periodically offered in a classroom setting. Check the training calendar to see when the next new user training is being held. If you do not see a new user training that fits your schedule, email REHelp@seattleu.edu to set up a one on one consultation.
