Specialized Accreditation

Seattle University is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.  Some schools, colleges, and programs undergo review by external bodies to receive accreditation.  This information, along with endorsements from external organizations,  is also published in the official catalogs of the university.  The following academic and professional bodies accredit specific programs within the university; they are recognized by either the Council  for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or the United States Department of Education (USDE) or in some cases both (see individual college, school or program websites for more information):
