Submit your FAFSA.
Seattle University requires students seeking financial assistance to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Filing for the 2012-2013 academic year began on January 1, 2013. Students and parents may secure a pin number through www.pin.ed.gov.
When asked to list the schools to which you would like your FAFSA results to be sent, be sure to list SU’s federal school code: 003790 prior to or as part of filing via the web.
Fall quarter freshmen will receive priority consideration for Seattle University institutional financial aid provided that a completed FAFSA is received by the federal processor by February 1, 2013 (or within 30 days of admission if admitted after January 1).
Students whose FAFSAs are filed after these deadlines may be considered for any Seattle University scholarships and federal and state need-based financial aid that may remain.
Typically, fall quarter applicants who meet the January 15 priority processing deadline receive financial aid notification by late March.
It is important to contact Student Financial Services if there has been a significant change in either your or your family’s financial status after filing the FAFSA. Financial aid package adjustments may be possible in some cases.
The Student Financial Services Office will contact you if additional documentation is required. Contact Student Financial Services to check your file’s status if you do not receive acknowledgement from the U.S. Department of Education’s FAFSA processor within two weeks of submitting the FAFSA.
