Financial Aid

Did you know that Seattle University administers over $28.4 million in financial aid to graduate students and posts hundreds of employment opportunities? Family assets, income and family size are all considerations in awarding financial aid.

Student Financial Services can assist you with information about institutional scholarships and grants, outside scholarships, loans and the work-study programs, both on and off campus. Certain need-based awards require a completed FAFSA.

How to Apply

Our goal is to simplify these processes as much as possible. Students seeking financial aid should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as early as October 1st each year.

Indicate on the FAFSA our School Code, 003790, to have the results sent to Seattle University.

Filing Dates

Students may apply for financial assistance all year. We suggest you file by the dates below to be assured that your financial aid will be available by the beginning of the term:

  • Summer: April 1
  • Fall: August 1
  • Winter: November 1
  • Spring: February 1
