China Green Summer Program

Overview: ChinaGreen is a six-week environmental studies program through the Jesuit Beijing Center for Chinese Studies located in Yunnan's capital city, Kunming.
The program consists of one introductory course, one of two elective courses, and an optional Mandarin language course. In addition, ChinaGreen provides two experiential excursions throughout Yunnan to further students' understanding of the crucial ecological area.

Environmental Courses
Courses are taught in English by prominent Chinese and International faculty. Students meet 3 hours every weekday morning for class (total 45 hours).
Week 1-3: Intruductory 3-credit course: Culture and Environment in China
Week 4-6: One of two elective 3-credit courses:
China's Environment and Sustainable Development: Policy and Politics at Home and Abroad
Environmental Issues and Eco-diversity Conservation in Yunnan
Optional Mandarin Courses
3-credit optional Mandarin Courses are offered in three levels: elementary, intermediate and advanced. All language instructors are experienced professors from Yunnan University. Classes are held every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for 3 hours in the afternoon for 5 weks (total 45 hours).
