International Short-Term Courses
For the undergraduate, these courses add an international field-study component to those taught during the winter or spring quarter. For example, students in the Costa Rica course attend Biology 101 lectures during the spring quarter, and then conduct labs in Costa Rica in an intensive, compressed format. Students receive an "N" grade (incomplete) at the end of the spring quarter which is then converted to a letter grade after the international course and all assignments are completed successfully.
At the graduate level, the entire course may be compressed into an intensive short-term format that is primarily conducted overseas with the exception of preparational meetings and out-of-class assignments that are held on the SU campus.
