Semester at St. Louis University-Madrid, Spain
As Spain's capital and largest city, Madrid is the center of the nation's political, financial, and cultural life. The numerous cultural activities, museums and restaurants give students ample opportunities to explore the city. The fast and efficient metro system makes moving around the city very easy, and the extensive network of regional, national and inter-European trains and busses greatly facilitates travel troughout the region.
Located in northwest Madrid, Saint Louis University Madrid campus is in the prestigious university quadrant, close to other Spanish public and private universities. The student body is truly international with 25% of the 600 students coming from Spain, 40% from the United States and the remaining 35% from over 55 different countries.
Eligibility:Available to Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors.
Previous knowledge of Spanish is beneficial but not required.
Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Academics:Courses are conducted in English, some selected courses are available in Spanish including grammar and literature courses at many different levels. 100-400 level courses in business, economics, finance, marketing, and management*. Classes are also available in sciences, mathematics, humanities and social sciences. Students can earn up to 18 semester credits. Internships and volunteer are available to qualified students. Housing:Homestays or University-run residences (space permitting).
Application Procedure:Complete the SU online Horizons application (see the 'Apply Tab' for directions) and submit it to the Education Abroad Office by the published deadlines. Students apply through Seattle University and cannot apply directly to SLU until nominated bu the Education Abroad Office.
