Keenan Kurihara

About Keenan:

Aloha Everyone! My name is Keenan Kurihara. I'm a Junior studying Public Affairs and Strategic Communications. I was born and raised in Waipahu, Hawaii on the island of Oah'u. In addition to serving as Multicultural Representative for SGSU, I am a Resident Assistant in the Douglas as well as an active member of Hui 'O Nani Hawai'i and United Filipino Club. I also work in the Office of Admissions as a Representative / Campus Tour Guide. In my spare time, I enjoy going to the beach (in the water when I'm home), hanging out with my friends and listening to music.

Keenan's goals:

One of my goals for the year is to work with and strengthen the bond of the OMA Alliance. I feel that there is room for improvement in regards to how the OMA Alliance Members interact with each other and I look forward to working with the Office of Multicultural Affairs to help build an even stronger alliance. In addition, I look forward to being a voice for my peers and to bring some of the Aloha Spirit to not only SGSU but to the Seattle U community as well.

Why he loves Seattle University:

One of the reason's why I chose Seattle University was due to the fact that the people here are great! There's always a interesting conversation to be had, an exciting story to listen to and an amazing mix of experiences to be shared amongst the student body. The students, faculty and staff all create an environment that is comfortable, fun and welcoming!!
