Eric Sype

 Eric Sype

About Eric:

Hey! My name is Eric Sype and I am a small town boy from Cashmere, Washington. Cashmere was my home for the first eighteen years of my life, and I still enjoy spending my summers there. While in Cashmere I like to hike, whitewater raft, play basketball and tennis, go swimming, and just enjoy the outdoors. I am a sophomore Humanities for teaching major, and someday hope to be the Principal of the high school I graduated from. This will happen after a few years of teaching in impoverished parts of South America, while doing some traveling. That’s my life plan, but as for now I’m just living the dream here at Seattle U!

Eric’s goals:

My Goal as Executive Vice President is to inspire SGSU to make a better Seattle University for its students. In the past student government has done a great job of this, but I believe we have only scratched the surface of our potential, and I want us to achieve our full potential!

Why he loves Seattle University:

I love Seattle U because of its diversity. This word, diversity, is thrown around a lot at Seattle U, but I really think we are extremely diverse. From our thriving international students center, to our huge range of socio-economic backgrounds, to the large variety of enthusiastic clubs on campus, Seattle University really has a place for everybody.
